Fortum Group Communications is looking for a Communications Manager for its City Solutions division communications in Finland. Your primary area of responsibility will be to support the Recycling and Waste Solutions (RWS) business area. You will also be a member of the RWS management team, driving the communications agenda with a group of more than 600 enthusiasts who are committed to the growth and success of Fortum’s waste and recycling business both in the Nordics and in new markets.
As a first priority, you will develop and execute a new communications strategy for RWS in cooperation with senior leadership and division communications. You will be responsible for developing and implementing communications plans that support the business goals and engage both external and internal stakeholders, in particular potential and key customers, trade media and RWS employees in a proactive and timely manner. You will manage a small team of local RWS communicators in the Nordics.

We are looking for a driven communications professional with a suitable university-level degree and at least 5 years of experience in external communications to various stakeholders. You have proven proactive and reactive skills in media relations and issues management. You can create engaging content, and you have solid experience in digital communications. Marketing communications experience is considered a bonus. You have a strong track record in strategic thinking and tactical planning, and the ability to execute under pressure. You are goal-oriented and have a hands-on approach to your work. You have strong written and verbal communications skills and are fluent in Finnish and English. Knowledge of Swedish is considered an asset.
